Musamma

Your privacy, explained clearly

Privacy Policy

Musamma turns photos of everyday objects into Arabic and English learning cards. This policy explains what happens to your photo and vocabulary data when you use the app.

Effective: September 1, 2026Applies to: Musamma V1 for Android
No accountNo registration, profile, or cloud vocabulary library.
No advertisingNo advertising SDK or cross-app advertising tracking.
Local collectionSaved learning cards remain on your device.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Musamma mobile application. References to “Musamma,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the developer of the Musamma app.

2. Information we process

Musamma processes the following information only when needed to provide its features:

  • Camera photos you choose to submit. A photo is uploaded when you ask the app to identify an object and create its learning card.
  • Generated learning content. This includes the identified object name, Arabic and English vocabulary, example sentences, and generated object cutouts.
  • Basic request and diagnostic information. Our hosting provider may process information such as IP address, request time, endpoint, response status, and error details to operate, secure, rate-limit, and troubleshoot the service. We do not intentionally place full photos or full vocabulary payloads in application logs.

V1 does not create user accounts and does not request contacts, precise location, microphone access, payment information, or the Android advertising identifier.

3. How we use photos and learning data

Submitted photos are used to identify the object, generate beginner Arabic and English learning text, remove the image background, return the result to your device, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.

Please avoid sensitive images. Do not photograph private documents, financial information, medical information, or people who have not agreed to be photographed.

4. Service providers and data transfers

To complete a scan, the app sends the photo and minimum necessary request data over HTTPS to our private processing service. We use infrastructure and AI service providers, including Google Cloud and Google Gemini, to host the service, identify the object, and generate learning content. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the requested feature.

Processing may occur in countries other than the country where you live. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.

5. Storage and retention

  • On your device: saved vocabulary, learning text, and sticker files remain locally until you delete an entry or uninstall the app.
  • On our processing service: the submitted photo is processed for the active request and is not stored as a cloud vocabulary collection. Temporary generated image files expire automatically, normally within 30 minutes.
  • Operational records: limited request and error metadata may be retained for a limited period under our hosting provider’s logging configuration for security and reliability.

6. Your choices and deletion

Camera access is requested only for the scan feature. You may deny or revoke that permission in Android settings. You can delete a saved vocabulary entry from its detail screen. Uninstalling Musamma removes its locally stored app data according to Android’s normal behavior.

Because V1 has no user accounts or cloud vocabulary storage, there is no online account to delete. For a privacy inquiry concerning server-side processing, contact us using the address below.

7. Security

Production requests are encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We limit access to backend credentials, restrict upload size and request rates, avoid logging full user vocabulary payloads, and remove temporary generated files automatically. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Musamma is intended for learners aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, contact us so we can investigate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its store listing where appropriate.
